TDD Software LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the Mane mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Mane is designed with a local-first architecture, meaning your data stays on your device by default.

Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you opt in to cloud backup:

• Treatment logs and tracking data
• Progress photos
• Reminder settings and notification preferences
• App settings and preferences

Authentication Data

When you create an account, we collect the minimum information necessary for authentication:

• Apple Sign-In: Your Apple-provided user identifier. We receive only the information you choose to share (name, email, or a private relay email address).
• Email authentication: Your email address, used solely for account verification via one-time passcodes.

Optional Cloud Data

If you enable cloud features, some data may be synced to our servers:

• Notification preferences (for push notification delivery)
• Notification schedules

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store your device push token on our servers to deliver reminder notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

• Supabase: Authentication and cloud database for synced data. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• PostHog: Anonymous product analytics to improve the App. No personally identifiable information is collected. Subject to PostHog's Privacy Policy.
• Sentry: Error tracking and crash reporting to maintain App stability. Subject to Sentry's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management and in-app purchases. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Expo: App updates and push notification delivery. Subject to Expo's Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App
• Authenticate your account
• Deliver push notifications you have opted in to
• Improve App performance and fix bugs
• Understand how the App is used (through anonymous analytics)

Data Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We will never monetize your data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored locally on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. Cloud-synced data is retained as long as your account is active.

You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time through the App settings. Local data can be removed by deleting the App from your device.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
